oppo 93 and synology
Hi hope someone can help I'm a newbie. I have set up minimserver on my nas box no trouble, installed the app on my samsung galaxy s3 phone. when i enter my network settings for my nas box 192.168.1.55:58050 i get a connection failed, the remote server could not be joined. Despite the fact i can navigate the music folder's no problem and play music back on my S3. But i want to play back through my oppo blu-ray player. Opened the 58050 port on my router and i have no trouble with the oppo with the built in dnla seeing my nas box, which obviously i have to have the tv on to navigate my music, which is why this would be great if worked.

Where did you get the port number 58050 from?

The port number 58050 is for BubbleUPnP Server. Are you running BubbleUPnP Server on the NAS?

no running minimserver on nas and bubbleupnp on my galaxy S3. my idea is to control the music browsing on my phone and stream to the oppo 93 player.

In that case, you shouldn't be using port 58050. If the phone's WiFi is connected to the same subnet as the NAS and the OPPO, BubbleUPnP should automatically discover MinimServer as a server (without needing any special port settings) and it should also automatically discover the OPPO as a renderer (without needing any special port settings).

From your original post, it seems that BubbleUPnP is discovering MinimServer as a server, as you can browse and play music on the S3. The problem seems to be that BubbleUPnP isn't discovering the OPPO as a renderer. This part doesn't involve MinimServer, so you'll probably need to ask about it on a BubbleUPnP forum.

RE: oppo 93 and synology
Not sure if you got this sorted...

But as I read your post you are trying to control the Oppo 93's playback from Minimserver using BubbleUPnP on your android phone?

If so this isn't going to work - the Oppo 93 will playback from a UPnP server, but you have to use the Oppo's own interface to control the playback. You can't use a separate remote device.

Only the newer Oppo 103/105 have the facility to be controlled by separate control point software.

Hope this helps.
