Synology - force minimserver to use a specific Ethernet port
Hi Simon
I have a Synology with two ethernet ports. Is it possible to bond minimserver to use one of the port rather than the other ? (BTW I have the same question with Plex) Thx ! |

RE: Synology - force minimserver to use a specific Ethernet port
The only way to do this reliably is to put the ports on different subnets and use the ohnet.subnet property to control which subnet is used.
If the ports are on the same subnet, ohNet will "randomly" choose a port. I believe the selection priority prefers wired to wireless but I am not 100% sure about this. You might be able to manipulate this "random" choice by changing how the ports are named. |
