Directory Issues and Mac doesn't show MinimSever in Local Network Access
Hello Simon,
I am running MinimSever on a Qnap TS453A NAS, and I access it either via my MacBook Pro(2015) or one of two MacMini's running Apple silicon. On my network, I have several locations or directories where I have music stored: the Qnap NAS, a Bluesound VAULT2, a ROON Rock running ROON Core w/2TB SSD, an Apple Time Capsule 3TB, and finally, the three previously mentioned Macs. They all populate when I go to my network via Finder in MacOS. However, the only directory Minimsever sees is the share volume on the Qnap. Any attempts to add the other directories result in either "Must be a directory"' or "Not an Absolute File Path." I thought I could remedy this by purchasing a license and downloading MinimSever directly to my Macs, but when I try to launch it, I get a prompt saying that Minim needs to access the local network, only to find that my Macs do not show/ or see MinimSever, and going to "security and Privacy" does not give me the option to add it to the list of application requiring local network access. I've tried dragging and dropping the directories, as well as rewriting each of them using "/Volumes/" as suggested by you previously and to this point nothing has worked. |

RE: Directory Issues and Mac doesn't show MinimSever in Local Network Access
For your situation with music stored on multiple devices on your local network, you need to run MinimServer on a device that can access all these devices as shared folders. The simplest way to do this is to run MinimServer on your Mac.
Have you downloaded and installed the latest MinimServer-2.2.r4 version on your Mac? This version is needed for MinimServer to work correctly on macOS Sequoia. If you are not sure whether you have done this, delete MinimServer from your Mac and download and install it again. When you start MinimServer-2.2.r4 on your Mac and answer Yes to the prompt about allowing local network access, MinimServer should show as enabled in the Local Network section of Privacy & Security. |

The screenshots you sent show that you are trying to set a contentDir directory of /Volumes/bearsroomvault2/shared. They also show you have a shared network volume named /Volumes/bearsroomvault2. Please try changing the contentDir value to /Volumes/bearsroomvault2 and let me know whether this works.
