Another question regarding license

Hi,
I've been using old minimserver 0.8.x for a very long time on qnap nas now. I think i started with 0.7.x
I am currently testing the new version 2.2 on a raspberry pi 400.
As i understood, when the 30 days of trial license are over the server will revert to the default settings which are useless for me.
Ok, so i have to buy a license.
Not clear to me is whether after one year of use the server again reverts to default settings and i can't use it until i extend the license.
Or is the second and yearly further license fees only needed for updates ?
May be this a question answered already but I didn't find it. If so, Sorry .

If you use MinimStreamer, you need to pay again after 12 months. If you don't pay, MinimStreamer will stop working.

If you don't use MinimStreamer, the payment after 12 months gives you continued access to updates and new versions. If you don't pay, you can continue to use all features of the MinimServer version you are running at that time with no time limit. You won't get any more new features or bug fixes.

This should be explained on this page. On reading the page again now, I see that it is not completely clear on the question you have asked and I will update it to clarify.

Thank you so much. That answers my question completely. I am not using minimstreamer.
But I can stick to the running version that fulfills my needs completely.
