Sound level
I notice distinct differences in sound level from FLAC files. Is it possible to get a more equal level and are there plans to let MinimServer to equalize thse levels?

MinimServer streams the audio file "as is" and I don't have any plans to add audio processing for sound level equalization. |

Both 24 bit vs 16 and older vs newer albums. it does become irritating when you have built a long playlist and risks temporary deafness Think of the nation's ears Simon (joke honest - could do with other features first)

If you are using a renderer (such as foobar) that can read replay gain tag information from your files and apply the specified gain automatically, this is a good solution. Make sure you don't use transcoding in MinimServer because this would remove replay gain tag information from the stream that is sent to the renderer. |

I thought you were referring to using foobar as the renderer. If you are using the Aries as the renderer, you will need to ask Auralic whether the Aries supports using replay gain information added by foobar. |

Will ask Auralic about this! |

RE: Sound level
The answer was quick:
Christian Rechenbach (AURALIC LIMITED) Mar 29, 17:12 Hi, no, it doesn't. That would require digitale volume attenuation and ARIES doesn't do the as it always outputs the files in native format. Christian Rechenbach, EU Account Manager
