Changing Tags Error

I am running 0.8.4 update 97 on Ubuntu server 14.04

When I change a tag, minim is still "seeing" the old tag.

To get minim to update I have to remove the album whose tag I am changing. Rescan minim so the album is removed. Change the tag. Put the album back where it was. Rescan minim again.

Is this correct or is there a more efficient way of achieving the same result?

You might have your tagging program configured to keep the file date/time the same when a tag is updated. This can cause MinimServer not to recognise that the file has changed. The simplest fix is to change this setting in your tagging program.

Spot on as always. I hadn't even clocked that it only started happening when I moved from mp3tag to Puddletag.

You're like some sort of music tagging oracle.
