Hiding file extension

I wish hide the file extension in the song name, can I do this?

I am using minimstreamer and it currently shows as: "song title.wav" I would like to remove the .wav is possible?

MinimServer/MinimStreamer does not control either the control point or (if there is one) the player display. Which player/renderer and control point are you using? Also, what is the file format of the source files you are transcoding to WAV, and do these files have title tags?

It seems that the display you are getting is of the file name rather than the title tag. But without the answers to the questions we cannot be sure whether (and, if so, why) this is the case.

Yes, this is possible. You just need to add a Title tag to the song file and MinimServer will display the value of this tag.
