Run on Qnap TS-219 II- Not rescanning music
I am running on a Qnap TS-219II and when I login and use the Minim Sever status page to rescan my music I still show the same number of albums as I previously had.
What do I need to do to get it to scan new music. |

What you have done is fine. It sounds like the control point has not updated its view of the library. Which control point are you using? |

RE: Run on Qnap TS-219 II- Not rescanning music
If I look at devices under file explorer on my pc, it shows the server. When I click on it, the display show a folder that says 13 albums. On my iPad I have something called C5. That also shows only 13 albums. Ultimately I will be using this with Auralic Aries music streamer, but before I do that I want to get my music loaded on the NAS and know that it is playable.

I don't understand why you think there is a problem. Is MinimServer showing 13 albums or is it showing a smaller number? |

The content share on the Qnap has 23 recording folders and the MinimServer is only showing 15. From what I can see all of the ones that are missing were uploaded to the Qnap before installing MinimServer. It seems as if only half the content that was in the media folder before installing the server was picked up. |

If it is now showing 15 albums, this means the rescan has added two more albums. Have you checked the MiunimServer log to see if there are any error messages? To see which folders are being scanned, you can do the following: 1) From the minim icon, select 'Show log' 2) In the log window, set the logging level to Verbose 3) Leave the log window open 4) Do a rescan 5) In the log window, you will see messages showing which folders are being scanned |

I was able to install MinimWatch on on Apple laptop and could see that everything was scanned. I determined that the missing albums were uploaded to the Qnap as WMA files. I need to re-upload them as FLAC. I had an issue putting MinimWatch on my PC. I installed JAVA. The link that I was sent to said it was Java for the browser. When I installed MinimWatch it associated itself with Acrobat as a document and does not create an icon in the tray. The above is on Windows 10. Thanks. |

This problem is caused by Windows having an incorrect association for the .jar file extension. You can use the jarfix program to fix this and enable MinimWatch to launch correctly. |
