Minim not working Synology 213Air
Hello there,

It's me again Undecided
After reinstalling everything (basically restoring to the factory settings) and loosing some part of my music collection (another lesson taken) I've reinstalled Java and Minim with the latest and correct versions. Now, problems started after a couple of days. First, after restarting NAS, Minim was acting as before (which was the actual reason I've started all the hassle) which means didn't start automatically with the system but needed to be started manually. Then, after another day or so it stopped working. The only action possible was reinstalling Minim, which is not an option as not always I'm willing to start my computer to do so, and I guess it's not normal, isn't it? So what possibly went wrong and how it could happen that the server is gradually getting worse and worse? TBH I'm disappointed.

RE: Minim not working Synology 213Air
This isn't normal and it must be related to something about your setup.

Have you checked the /etc/profile file? If this still has the incorrect lines from last time, this might be the cause of the problem.

As I understand it, when you try to start MinimServer from the Package Center, it doesn't start. Is this correct? Do you get any error messages?

Are you using the latest 0.8.4.2 version of MinimServer?

There are some log files that might provide more information about the problem. After MinimServer has failed to start, please use File Station to check the contents of the MinimServer/appData folder. Are there any messages in the minimserver-out.log file or the minimserver.log file? Are there any files whose names start with minimserver-crash?

Please also use Log Center to check the DSM system log to see if there are any error messages related to MinimServer.
