Duplicate artwork
I'm using minimserver on an iMac feeding a Naim UnitiQute. It works well but I have a problem with artwork. There is one album image that has gone rogue. I've deleted it from the album it is meant to be attached to but it attaches itself to about 20 other albums, as well as the correct artwork. So I get 2 versions of the albums showing, one with the correct artwork, the other with the rogue artwork. Any idea what may be happening and what the fix might be?

If so, which folder is it in? Are the albums that show incorrect artwork in subfolders of this folder? An example folder location of a specific album with the problem would be helpful. |

Everything is in iTunes in ALAC format, except for a few MP3 imports. The errant artwork is linked to one of the MP3 imports. It's jepg, cut and pasted off the web. Unfortunately I can't find where it is hiding or I would have deleted it by now!

If so, you can use Linn Kinsky Windows to show the metadata for one of the tracks with the incorrect artwork image. The albumArtURI field of this metadata will include the path to the incorrect artwork. |

I don't have a windows PC. I did run a Gemini check on the music folder last night and deleted all the duplicate artwork. I have now got rid of the rogue artwork but I still have shadow albums showing, this time without any artwork!

I meant the album icon with no artwork, and sometimes no content, sometimes duplicate tracks. I don't know why, but the problem disappeared when I saved all the artwork as jpg...

It could be that this change to the files has caused MinimServer to rescan the changed files and this has cleared the problem. Another possibility is that the Naim UnitiQute doesn't like png artwork. |
