Adding text such as "Record Label" to Artist.display.format
Hello. I am using the following for tagFormat:
Artist.display.Format={$albumartist$label$orchestra$conductor} This works just great and for example on a rock band I get for example: Steely Dan, MCA What I would like is to add text in front of Label so it would read: Steely Dan, Record Label: MCA Is this possible? Thanks in advance Mike |

RE: Adding text such as "Record Label" to Artist.display.format
The displayFormat syntax is:
Code: $tag-list^prefix^suffix^separatorCode: $tag^prefix^suffix^separator (repeated for each tag)It may be easier to follow if you always supply the full syntax (this only works if the first tag is ALWAYS populated), so: Code: Artist.displayFormat={$albumartist$label$orchestra$conductor}Code: Artist.displayFormat={$albumartist^^^, $label^, ^^, $orchestra^, ^^, $conductor^, ^^, }Don't specify a prefix on the first tag otherwise the resulting string will start with ", " e.g. ", David Bowie" So all you need to do is change the prefix of your label tag: Code: Artist.displayFormat={$albumartist^^^, $label^, Record Label: ^^, $orchestra^, ^^, $conductor^, ^^, } |
