I have a replacement MacBook Air and have downloaded a new copy of minim server. I ran it from the downloaded dmg package, registered it and set it up. It was working fine but then I exited it and copied the minim server file to the Applications folder. Now neither the copy of the server in applications nor the the one in the dmg file will launch.

The file Library/minimserver/minimlaunch.log contains the following message:

Another instance is using configuration file /Users/trevorj/Library/MinimServer/minimserver.config

How do I resolve this problem?

I would like to have the mininserver executable in the Applications folder.

As it says in this section (see step 4), it is important to drag MinimServer to the Applications folder before you launch it.

If you logout and login, this might clear the problem. If not, try rebooting the Mac. Don't try to launch MinimServer from the .dmg window again. It must be launched from the Applications folder to work correctly.

If you still have problems after doing the above, please post back here.

My apologies, a case of RFM. I had installed previous versions without problems and I thought I knew what I was doing.

All working from Launchpad now.
