RE: "recently added" shows the wrong entries
The added-dates.txt file is read when MinimServer starts and written when MinimServer does a rescan. Exiting and restarting MinimServer causes a rescan to happen.
When the added-dates.txt file is recreated, MinimServer uses "last modified" dates in the files as a best effort to identify when files were added to the library. If you have copied older files into the library without changing their "last modified" dates, these files will not show in the "recently added" section. The added-dates.txt file is in a format that can easily be updated using a text editor. If you wish, you can edit this file and add entries for files that should be in the "recently added" list but aren't there now. Any entries you add will be picked up when MinimServer next does a rescan. Before editing this file, it is a good idea to make a backup copy in case anything goes wrong. |

RE: "recently added" shows the wrong entries
As I said in my post, this applies when the added-dates.txt file is recreated (i.e., after the user has deleted the added-dates.txt file). When the added-dates.txt file already exists, any dates in the this file are used in preference to "last modified" dates. This behaviour has always been so.
