minimserver 2 install issue

Hello, my desktop computer HD failed & installed new HD.
I have minimserver v 2.0.18-1005 on my Synology DS716 NAS drive
I installed the latest version of minimserver and minimwatch plus the latest java

When I started my minimserver I got the message..
"Content directory path isn't absolute"

When I clicked minimserver at first it asked me where my content was however the Synology tab didn't show up. When I clicked on my network tab you could NOT see minimserver under "media devices".

I'm running windows 10 64bit.

Do I need to remove and re-install the latest version of minimserver on my synology for my files to show up?

As you can imagine minimwatch does not work at this time.

If your music library is on your NAS, you should be running MinimServer on your NAS and not on your PC.

The first step is to make sure MinimServer on your NAS is working correctly. Please do the following:

1) Open Synology DSM Package Center and select Installed
2) MinimServer should appear in your list of installed packages
3) If the MinimServer icon has a button showing Open, click this button
4) This should show the MinimServer configuration page in your web browser
5) There should be a line on this page starting "Your selected content directory is". Please post the value shown on this line.

If any of the above steps don't work as described, please post details.

For now, don't remove and reinstall MinimServer on your Synology NAS.

Before my HD crashed, I had minimserver software installed on both my desktop AND my NAS drive. I also had minimwatch installed on my desktop.
After I added songs to my NAS drive (seen from my desktop computer) I opened minimserver and then it would automatically open up minimwatch. Then I could right click minimwatch icon and rescan, then the songs would appear in minimserver software in my NAIM app.

As requested, I checked my NAS drive and the content directory is show as....

/volume1/music

In my case, should I ONLY need minimserver installed on my Synology NAS drive
AND have minimwatch on my desktop?

Yes, if your songs are stored on your NAS drive you should not be running MinimServer on your desktop computer, only on your NAS drive. If you uninstall MinimServer from your desktop computer and leave MinimWatch installed, is everything working as you expect?

I uninstalled minim on my desktop. Then tried to open minimwatch and it would load icon in my taskbar. I went ahead and uninstalled miniwatch, then reinstalled miniwatch and have the same problem.

When I click the miniwatch icon i get a windows message...

How do you want this file opened?
Always use this app to open .jar files

How to I use or activate miniwatch on my desktop?

I want to re-scan my music when I add more titles so it shows up on my Naim app.

FWIW, in the past I had minimserver on my desktop and NAS drive and whenever I clicked on minimserver icon on my desktop it would open small miniwatch icon on my taskbar. Sometimes minimserver would let me know of a new version being available but after I click OK, miniwatch opens up.

Now I can't get miniwatch to open.

I realized JAVA 8 was not installed after all. I installed it and boom, it works!

Dear staff, i have QNap TS251, and full license Minimserver, i have installed the new upgrade Minimserver 2 update 213.
I can not see any new functionality like music added recently or played recently. What have i done wrong? can i receive input please?
