Melco and DELA
Prior to 1 July 2025, Melco music library devices were sold in non-Japan markets only and DELA music library devices were sold in Japan only.
From 1 July 2025, the N1 and N5 music library devices and some other products previously branded as Melco (for example, switches) will be sold under the DELA brand in all markets (Japan and non-Japan). For more information about this brand change, see the DELA home page. This change in brand name does not affect how MinimServer supports the N1 and N5 and does not change how MinimServer supports other Melco and DELA music library devices. I have updated the Melco-related pages on the MinimServer website to reflect this change. |

RE: Melco and DELA
Hello i have a chance to buy a Melco HA-N1 AH40 more or less cheap? I think this version of Melco is from 2016.
So my question. is ist worth to buy this Melco Version or are there more preferable versions that came after the HA-N1 AH40 regarding music quality ? |

RE: Melco and DELA
I use this Melco NAS to run MinimServer. The sound quality is very good. For best sound quality, you should format the disks as spanned (not RAID).
I have replaced the original disks with SSDs but you need to be careful when doing this as some SSDs make the sound worse. The Crucial MX500 is good. If you do this, you will need a 2.5 to 3.5 inch mounting adapter. |
