'Recently Added (2024)' Not Displaying Properly

I use 'Recently Added' a lot, but the '2024' selection doesn't display properly... 'Last Week' and 'Last Month' display correctly, but '2024' seems to show 'Last Month's selection. I know that there are definitely albums that I've added this year that are not showing up in '2024'. I think the problem is with MinimServer, since '2024' displays the same in both the Naim app and the WiiM Home app.

Depends on how many album/tracks you added since the beginning of the year.
The default value is 300 (tracks) and you can specify a value up to 1000 (tracks), and according to the value you set just last nnn tracks will be shown

Thanks Stefano – where do I do that..? I can't seem to find anything on the config pages... I've also noticed that '2024' in 'Recently Played' seems to have all the albums there, but it lists them alphabetically according to album title. Any way to make it list alphabetically by artist..?

In Advanced/serverOptions you can set
recentAdded=1000 (or whatever value you like, up to 1000)

Thanks Stefano... do I need to restart MinimServer after setting 'recentAdded=1000'..?

Increasing recentAdded to 1000 has done the trick – sort of. While there are many more albums under ‘2024’ now, some are still missing. An artist for whom I’ve added nine albums this year only shows eight albums under ‘Recently Added’ > ‘2024’ > ‘Artist’, another for whom I’ve added three, only shows two, another for whom I’ve added six only shows one, etc.

Any albums added before you increased the limit have not been recorded as added and this information is no longer available. In place of this information, MinimServer uses "last modified" file dates to provide a best guess at when previous albums were added.

For example, if you had the default limit of 300 files and then increased this to 1000, the top 300 slots are filled with your last 300 added files (as recorded when the added files were found by a MinimServer rescan). The remaining 700 slots are filled with other files that have the most recent "last modified" dates. If you added more than 1000 files in 2024, you will only see 1000 files when you select 2024 under Recently Added.

Simon – any chance of upping the 1000-item limit..?

This feature is intended to show recently added and played files, not a full history of when files were added or last played. The limit of 1000 is needed because of the way this feature is designed and implemented. A larger number would impact browsing and scanning performance and increase memory usage.
