RE: CONTENT DIRECTORY
If your laptop is running Windows, the simplest way to do this is to map the SSD as a network shared folder to a drive letter on your laptop and set the content directory to the Windows path to the folder containing your music files.

RE: CONTENT DIRECTORY
Yes, it is working but the SSD must be attached to PC and not to transport LUMIN. That means the control point-lumin app asks for music playback from the SSD which means that wifi network is being used. Is it possible to install the minimserver on the SSD.

RE: CONTENT DIRECTORY
Some LUMIN devices (for example, the LUMIN L2) allow an attached SSD to be accessed over the network using SMB file sharing. It seems the U1 MINI doesn't support this, so you will not be able to access files on your USB-attached SSD from MinimServer running on your laptop. Also, the U1 MINI does not provide any way to install and run MinimServer from a USB-attached SSD.
If you want to use MinimServer with your U1 MINI, you will need to run MinimServer on your laptop and attach your SSD to your laptop. |

RE: CONTENT DIRECTORY
Thank you, I think the best integration is to set up minimserver on QNAP NAS where all my music files are established. The U1 MINI will find all the files via ethernet

Yes, this approach should work well.
