Playlists - Stein_Uk - 03-05-2026 21:11

Hi,
For some reson all my playlists in M3U8 format have stopped working and are showing as error as unknown folder. I have not changed anything apart from a new Win11 pc added to my network. MinimSever is running on Synology NAS. Below is a sample taken from a playlist. All the music scans correctly but none of the playlists work anymore.

From Log
Error: playlist MusicBee/Music/Exported Playlists/Top 25 Most Played.m3u8: unknown folder for \DS218Plus1/music/Music/Joey Negro/20 Years Of Joey Negro/Disc 2/02 - 11 - The Sunburst Band - Fly Away (Joey Negro Club Mix).mp3

From M3U8
\\DS218Plus1\music\Music\Joey Negro\20 Years Of Joey Negro\Disc 2\02 - 11 - The Sunburst Band - Fly Away (Joey Negro Club Mix).mp3

Changed M3U8 (still no luck)
//DS218Plus1/music/Music/Joey Negro/20 Years Of Joey Negro/Disc 2/02 - 11 - The Sunburst Band - Fly Away (Joey Negro Club Mix).mp3

The content of the music is /volume1/music/Music

Thanks

The \\DS218Plus1 (or //DS218Plus1) doesn't seem correct. Your music is in the NAS folder /volume1/music/Music, so your M3U8 playlist paths should start with this and the path in your post should be this:

/volume1/music/Music/Joey Negro/20 Years Of Joey Negro/Disc 2/02 - 11 - The Sunburst Band - Fly Away (Joey Negro Club Mix).mp3

It looks the path \\DS218Plus1\music\Music\.... is a Windows path to your NAS music folder, created by a Windows program such as MusicBee. This path should work if MinimServer is running on Windows but will not work if MinimServer is running on your NAS.

Edit: It appears that MusicBee can create exported playlists with relative paths. These should work with MinimServer on both Windows and your NAS. A web search for "musicbee relative playlists" should provide information about how to do this.
