MacOS app ??? - erho - 14-01-2026 16:36

Hello !
Anyone happen to know of a Mac OS app with a good user interface for playing my music library? I have MinimServer installed on my QNAP NAS and am looking for such an app, as I don't want to use my iPhone for this. Many thanks in advance and kind regards.....

Are you using a streamer or not?

There's upplay but since it not signed you will have to use this workaround

I never used upplay on macOS, only on Linux where it does the job.

The Linn app (v4.8.8, latest version) works well on my 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro. This app reads the audio files on my Melco N1Z Mk. 1 and runs Qobuz, as well.

The Linn app needs an OpenHome renderer. It is unlikely that the Wattson streamer supports the OpenHome protocol. You can enable OpenHome support by running the BubbleUPnP Server program (not the BubbleUPnP control point app) on your QNAP.

Hi Simon, good point about OpenHome and the OP's Wattson streamer.

For a native MacOS app that works with UPnP renderers, the OP could try JRiver Media Center for Mac:
