Minim server not lworking after download - Red - 20-05-2025 09:10
I am trying to load minim server on my windows 10 PC to plal through a Linn hifi system. The download works no problem and I can see the server in the file structure after download. However it does not seem to be running and I cant open it after download. It's there but not running (after checking on running apps). I am using windows defender in default settings for virus/firewall protection. Any ideas anyone before I have to ask a teenager for help?

Have you installed Java? There are detailed step-by-step instructions on this page for installing MinimServer on Windows and there is a quick start guide on this page.

Sorry again! Installed Java but still no sucess. Minim server is there downloaded onto the C drive with the shortcut on the desktop but I cant open it to configure it and it does not appear to be running and the Linn app does not see it.

If there is a folder C:\Program Files\Java, this means Java is installed. You can look inside this folder to see which version(s) of Java are installed. If this folder is not present, Java is not installed.
