I'm finally using the indexArtwork feature and it is a nice touch when browsing the library. Thus far I've added AlbumArtists, Composers, Conductors, and Record Labels. My comment is that the indexArtwork file is now massive and it would be convenient to add subfolders inside indexArtwork. A subfolder for Record Label, etc.
I tried adding subfolders and it doesn't work so deleted them.
Is this something you can add in a future version?

This is already supported. See the subheading "Folder artwork image files" in the Index artwork section.

Thank you Simon. What I didn't realize is the subfolder name needs to be an exact tag name. Works perfectly now.

I've noticed an unexpected behavior of indexArtwork. I have two QNAPs. My primary QNAP has the following MinimServer contentDir
/share/Multimedia/DSD
/share/Multimedia/FLAC
/share/Multimedia/Classical
/share/Multimedia/Rock
I do this because there are about four other Multimedia folders on the system which I don't want to regularly browse through. The indexArtwork folder is in the /Rock directory and it works great.
I have a second, backup QNAP. Its contentDir is simply
/share/Multimedia
Using the above on the backup QNAP I can browse the entire library. However, indexArtwork is not working with this configuration. On both systems I have serverOptions set to indexArtwork=all.
Any ideas?

Do you have a MinimServer full license activated for the backup NAS? The index artwork feature requires a full license.

Yes, the backup QNAP is running a full license.

The indexArtwork folder should be in /share/Multimedia (directly under the contentDir folder).

That does not work. Going back to my primary QNAP for a moment, my contentDir was...
/share/Multimedia/Classical
/share/Multimedia/DSD
/share/Multimedia/Rock
/share/Multimedia/indexArtwork
I saw none of the artwork at all after restarting and rescanning. No Album Artist, Conductor, Composer, Label, etc. It only began to work when I dragged the indxArtwork folder into one of the other ones such as /share/Multimedia/Rock.
So for the Backup QNAP, at your suggestion, I reverted back to the directory structure mentioned above but changed contentDir to /share/Multimedia. No artwork appears. It seems like indexArtwork doesn't like to live as its own directory.
So you know, the indexArtwork folder contains subfolders (thank for your prior help!) named Label, Conductor, Composer.
Please let me know what to try next. Your help is appreciated. Mike
