Question regarding Recently Added - NuclearMike15 - 19-01-2025 15:25
I have added *RecentAdded to my Minimserver index Tags. It works just fine except I only see about the last 20 albums added to the library. I've added well over 100 albums to the library since I turned this feature on. Why am I only seeing about 20 albums listed when Minimserver should be saving the last 300 by default.
Additionally, when I select Recently Added from the main menu, I only see the list of the albums. I do not see other features described in the User Guide such as three year group selections, Show All, etc.
Please let me know what I'm missing.

The default is 300 files/playlists not albums, although 20 does seem low.
Taken from the documentation:
Quote:The number of recently added files (audio files and playlists) saved by MinimServer is set to 300 by default. You can change this value by setting the recentAdded option of the serverOptions property. The maximum value is 1000.
Apply the change, then perform a rescan.

Thank you. That worked great. The documentation says "The Recently Added menu also includes up to three year group selections and a Show All selection. All recently added files appear under one of the year group selections and in the Show All selection". I don't see this. How do I enable it?

You aren't seeing the usual selections under Recently Added because of your listViewAlbums setting. If this is enabled, you will always see a flat list of albums after making the initial index selection.

Eureka! I had a value of 9999 for listViewAlbums. No idea why. I changed it to 1 and voila, all the sub menus now appear.
