Hello All,
I've had a decade or so of running a one-box, one room Mediacentre with 100k FLACs and MediaMonkey lifetime Gold to manage my DB.
I'm now in a two-room setup, with my files on a QNAS TS-262.
Can anyone explain why so many knowledgeable people advocate for MinimServer over, say, QNAP music station.
I'll probably end up with Raspberry Pi 4 or some such for my front end, but other than that, I'm unsure of how to move forward. I've a reasonable level of understanding of technology, including networks, so in itself simplicity isn't the most important consideration.
