Minim Watch with Java Error - Klaus57 - 21-10-2024 08:37

Today when I started Minim watch I got the following error message according to the log file, see attachment.
I tried reinstalling Minim watch, but that didn't work. The last Java update was on October 19th, the last Windows update was on October 18th. Where should I start troubleshooting?
Thanks, best regards
Klaus

This error means there is a mismatch between your Windows platform (32-bit) and the version of Java you have installed (64-bit).

thanks for the quick reply, but it is definitely a 64 bit platform - Excerpt from the system info:
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.10 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB (5.95 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Thanks for confirming. In this case, the problem must be that you have a 32-bit version of Java running on a 64-bit operating system.

Thanks for the tip, Simon; that could be the reason; but I can't understand why the automatic(!) JAVA installation installs a 32-bit version. Anyway, I'll install the appropriate JAVA version.
Thanks for the support, best regards
Klaus

error fixed; the 64 bit version was actually missing.
