Apple Mini as server - calchas - 01-09-2024 11:19 Hi, I have just bought and installed Minim Server on my Mac Mini. I have a Samsung 1 TB SSD attached. Shown in Mac as type Volume named <Samsung_T3> . There a dozen or so folders with music on there, eg “Flac Cds ripped”, “ Hi RES” , “Opera “ etc etc. amounting to 750 GB. The disk on the mac mini is just 500GB. Thus I want the Samsung to be the content source /directory for Minim Server. I have tried the variations of the </user/macmini/ syntax. /User/macmini/Documents/ Hi RES works fine BUT Documents is a folder on the Mac hard drive to whichI copied a few music files. NOT on the Samsung. Whatever variant for example /Volume/ Samsung_T3 / Opera or /User/macmini/Volume/Samsung_T3/Opera I use the Minim Server comes back in a RED warning and does not accept the SDD as a source . Ready to tear my hair out , of which there is no much in the first place. RE: Apple Mini as server - simoncn - 01-09-2024 17:06 To index the Opera folder on your external drive, you need to type the following: /Volumes/Samsung_T3/Opera If you want to index the entire external drive, type this: /Volumes/Samsung_T3 |
