Unable to call up the Minim icon in toolbar - Gonzalez - 05-05-2024 10:16 I am running Minimserver 2.2 (I think release 248) on a QNAP. The last couple of days I have, however, not been able to launch the minim icon when clicking on Minimwatch in my Applications menu (I have a MacBook Pro M3 Max). I am, therefore not able to do a Rescan when adding new music to the QNAP. I have never experienced this problem before in many years of using MimimServer and MinimWatch. Can someone please tell me what I should do? Many thanks. RE: Unable to call up the Minim icon in toolbar - stefano_mbp - 05-05-2024 10:45 As a quick workaround, and not only, you can use your browser to connect to http://nas-ip-address:9790 and launch the rescan from there RE: Unable to call up the Minim icon in toolbar - Gonzalez - 05-05-2024 11:19 Ah! I have been looking into my QNAP TS 269 Pro, updating firmware and checking the MinimServer installation. I see that I have actually the latest release installed (250), and I found a way on the MinimServer site to run a re-scan, which I did successfully. The music I added to the QNAP yesterday is now visible in the My Music Minimserver display on LinnKazoo. It appears that before I did this MinimServer was not running/unavailable But I still am unable to launch the Minim icon in the toolbar at the top of the screen. RE: Unable to call up the Minim icon in toolbar - simoncn - 05-05-2024 16:23 Occasionally the Mac can get into a state where it won't launch MinimWatch or MinimServer because it thinks it is already running. The solution for this is to reboot the Mac. The solution for this is to reboot the Mac. I have done that, but the minim icon still does not appear. And I have forgotten what I did last time to get a Rescan. Should I try to reinstall MinimWatch. Will that require me to reinstall all the Java stuff? My Macbook has the Apple M3 Max chip. Regards, Gonzalez RE: Unable to call up the Minim icon in toolbar - stefano_mbp - 19-05-2024 11:52 Check my previous post #2 RE: Unable to call up the Minim icon in toolbar - simoncn - 19-05-2024 17:47 In Finder, select Go > Go to Folder, then enter ~/Library/MinimWatch in the pop-up. In this folder, you should see files named minimwatch.log and minimwatch-out.log. Are there any error messages in these files? If you are not sure what to look for, please attach both files to a post here. |
