Synology: MinimServer only with internal IP - MofoDesign - 18-03-2024 22:00

Hi,

I have upgraded my Synology server and the Minimserver is actually running perfectly. However, I can only reach it via the internal IP address and not via the external address as before, which is also called up automatically when I click on Minimserver.

I have checked the settings in the router and port 9790 is open. Could any Synology settings be wrong?

After hours of searching I can't find a solution.

Kind regards
Martin

You don't directly connect to MinimServer when you connect from outside. You need to first be allowed through the firewall. That may sit on your modem or on your NAS or even both. Secondly, your NAS should be set up to be able to be contacted from outside. Consult your NAS manual on how to do this or check your old NAS to see how you did it there.
