Cannot get Minum Server to run with TS401 NAS - ellij - 24-07-2013 06:00 Hi. I installed Minim Server on a client QNAP TS401 NAS and it has been running for several months. When you open Minim Watch "About" "Refresh" and "Exit" are the only items in Black. the rest are Greyed out. I have gone into the NAS setup and all seems well and re booting the PC which is running Windows 7 (I think 64bit) does not seem to cure the problem. The client has had to revert to Twonky. Any suggestions. I have not re booted the NAS yet. Regards John RE: Cannot get Minum Server to run with TS401 NAS - simoncn - 24-07-2013 09:07 (24-07-2013 06:00)ellij Wrote: Hi. This means that MinimServer has crashed. You can restart MinimServer by rebooting the NAS, or by disabling MinimServer from the QPKG Center and then re-enabling it. Which version of MinimServer do you have installed on the NAS? It would be worth upgrading to the latest 0.72 version if you don't already have this installed. This version contains a fix for a problem that can cause MinimServer to crash after running for some time. RE: Cannot get Minum Server to run with TS401 NAS - ellij - 24-07-2013 10:36 Thanks. I did try disabling and re enabling Minim Server from the QPKG with no change. I have asked the client to re boot the NAS tonight and will check the result tomorrow. I will also check the version of Minim Server. If the MinimServer version is 0.72, disabling MinimServer from the QPKG Center creates a diagnostic file named minimserver-diag.tar.gz on the Public share of the QNAP. This file should enable me to find out what has caused the problem. Please save a copy of this file and send me a PM to let me know that you have it. I'll respond with a PM letting you know how you can get this file to me. (It's likely to be too large to attach to a forum post.) |
