The only program that I have ever used for ripping is DBPowerAmp, but it won't rip the sound from one of my DVDs. So I've been looking online for software to rip the music from a DVD in flac format and my goodness there seems to be a lot of them.
Does anyone have a recommendation to help me narrow it down a bit?

Handbrake does a good job for video.
Just beware that audio format is not flac on a DVD. You may need to convert it if you want flac.
