qobuz tagging track number "1/n", "2/n", ... - tarnkappe - 13-08-2023 10:31

Hello,

this is not really related to minimserver. Ok perhaps after all.

qobuz seems to have changed the tagging of downloaded albums. Instead of track numbers like "1", "2", "3",... they include the count of tracks into this field as well like "1/5", "2/5", "3/5", ... Question: Is this a correct way to tag the track number?

They do the same with disc number: "1/2", "2/2". Or "1/1".

I did not try what minimserver will produce with such tagging?

If this syntax is incorrect I would write qobuz a mail and ask them to correct this tagging.

Maybe it only happens when downloading the tracks manually track by track? I have to do this because they have removed the possibility to download an album as tar file. And for linux the downloader app does not exist.

Thanks
Gert

Oh, and also I wonder what the following tags mean that qobuz includes into the tracks:

QBZ:TID
UPC
ISRC

Are these catalog numbers or are they meant to track me in case someone copies the files from me?

MinimServer is OK with track or disc numbers like 1/2 etc. It just ignores the second number.

Most likely:

UPC = Universal Product Code

ISRC = International Standard Recording Code

Thank you, both!

Qbz:TID certainly will be something qobuz specific. TrackID or TrackingID maybe? If we find an album that two different people have bought we could compare the TID if it is the same.

Did someone buy
Prince - All A Share Together Now
Prince - 7 (E-flat version)
Monika Roscher Bigband - Witchy Activities...
