The intel architecture of this NAS is probably source of problem, despite there being an apparently suitable stable installation package. Will try to get a resolution from Tailscale.
In mean time will try to set up a simple Linux-based server next week, accessing it with Tailscale.

That's not good. There's a workaround on the tailscale forum, which is essentially to start it manually:
Code:
sudo tailscale up
Excellent - thanks for that. It worked great & solves the problem.

I can access and operate MinimStreamer from iPad, Samsung Galaxy smartphone & Windows platforms, by signing into Tailscale and, on a browser, using the Tailscale assigned IP address and the usual local MinimStreamer port number.

I use the inbuilt VPN server on Synology, using the quickconnect ID as the remote destination, to connect to my home network, when I'm away. I can access almost everything remotely however the MinimWatch app doesn't work. But that doesn't matter as you can now access it all through the browser, which does work.

Hi,

I run the Synology VPN server on my NAS in combination with a DynDNS account. On my iOS devices I have configured the VPN connection.

With that setup I can access from outside the MinimServer and Minimstreamer configuration page via <internal IP-Adress of my NAS:9790>.
