Colour of the app icon in Windows - edj - 22-12-2022 18:34

Hi Simon. In my mind the MinimServer icon is green - because that's what colour it is when it's running properly.

So when I am scanning my start menu for the MinimServer app my mind is looking for a green icon not a grey one... would it be possible to change the icon from grey to green? Grey is dull and easy to look over - green stands out is probably more reflective of what the icon should look like!

On my Windows 11 system, both in the Start menu and on the desktop, the MinimServer icon is green and the MinimWatch icon is grey. That is a sensible distinction, I think. Both on the dark background of my start menu, and against the white background of the desktop folder where I usually access my music applications, the colours stand out pretty well, even with my aging eyesight.

Ah sorry, I was referring to MinimWatch, not MinimServer. MS runs on my NAS so I don't see it on my laptop.

My mistake - but green request still holds!

Many people run both MinimServer and MinimWatch on the same Windows machine. The icons for these have the same design in different colours to make them easy to distinguish.

Got it. I just tried an app called TileIconifier to try to change the icon - but because it's a link to a .jar rather than .exe it won't work. Oh well! I'll have to slowly rewire my brain Smile
