I am using alphagroup for my browsing with MinimServer. If I click Album Artist, I get an alphabetic list of letters I can then chose from. So far so good.
I have several letters in which I get >100 entries when I click the letter. this means a lot of scrolling down to get to the end.
Is it possible to have a list not with the individual artists, but with a two letter alphagroup when I click on the first letter. e.g. ga gb gc gd etc.

Indexing on two-letter combinations isn't supported and would be very difficult to implement.

I am using Volumio as UPnP Control Point. When I open a list, there is a search field at the top of the page
When I enter a search term, nothing happens, I get an empty result. AFAIK there is a search functionality between a control point and a server. Or am I mistaken here?
https://www.openhab.org/addons/bindings/upnpcontrol/ describes a search function

In Volumio UPNP configuration page you should enable UPNP Media Browser (or something like that … if I remember correctly)

DLNA Browser has been enabled all along. Unfortunately inspite of this search queries don't seem to work.
BTW they don't work with Synology DNLA Server either. Could be a Volumio issue.

As I have found with volumio on a minidsp SHD Studio, the search function only works if using volumio to index the music itself. It does not search on external upnp servers. (Correct me someone if I am wrong)

This would mean that Volumio is doing a local search, not a UPnP search.
