HI,
Have a MServer 0.8.1update 22.
Tried update to MinimServer on a Synology DS1513+ (DSM6.2.4) unsuccessful which triggered a series of mishaps.
At the ill advice of local vendor, I deleted Java7 so as to update to pre installed Java8. that Java8 wont install.
Without the Java I can't install MServer 2 nor run MServer0.8.1
Question - how to successfully install Java8 or higher back the on 1513+?

Do you see Java8 as an available package in DSM Package Center? If so, what exactly happens when you try to install it?

Try downloading the latest Java8 package from this link and doing a manual install. I tried this on my DS713+ and it installed with no problems.
