Untagged albums - andreynin - 13-03-2021 12:54

Hi,

I have over 1000 untagged albums. The discs are ripped with NAIM in wav, but unfortunately without tag,s. The folder name and album name are the same.
The minimserver has put all songs in the folder „untagget“.

Is there a setting where the minimserver takes the name from the folder and saves it as the album name for the disc in the album folder?
A Synology's music server does this automatically.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Andrey

This isn't possible with MinimServer. You should be able to use a tagging program to add Album tags as a bulk operation based on the folder name See this thread for details of how to do this with Mp3tag.

Thank you very much, I'll try Mp3tag

If the files were ripped with Naim then Naim should store the metadata in its own metadata file, and you can read these files and add them to the file themselves very easily with SongKong (Melco license), please see http://www.jthink.net/songkongformelco/naimrip.jsp you don't need a Melco you can run on a PC, Nas ectera and still use a Melco license.

Do yo have a PC or Mac, if so you can just install SongKong on that and remote mount the synology drive so your PC can see it and do it that way..
