I don't appear to be able to start MinimServer from the Icon. Instead I get a dialog box asking me what I want to do with mserver.jar. How do I resolve this?

I presume this is on Windows. Do you have Java installed? If so, you should download and run the Jarfix program as described in step 7 of this section.
