Show albums lastly added to the collection first - zikarus - 13-04-2020 11:09 Hello, I am new to the forum but have been using minim for years and just upgraded to minimserver2 after buying a full license. I would like to have the ability to show all my 20k albums (sorted artist/year album) not only in alphabetical order but additionally in the order the albums have been added to my NAS. I have tried a few steps, but am a bit lost how to configure this via minimwatch. I have added ", -indicate:Seit" under indexTags and "indicate, " under tagOptions on the Server template but that is obviously not sufficient yet. Can someone please guide me what else needs to be set in minimwatch? If not (and thus "indicate" is a custom tag of yours) do all your files contain values for the "indicate" tag? How do these values look like? Assuming that "indicate" is a custom tag and that these values look like "2018-05-22" and that "indicate" is the first argument of "Album.sortTags" in the "tagOptions" field, then "<n> Albums" in your control point should list the albums of your collection in descending order and thus, with the most recent albums at the top. This is, at least, what happens with MinimServer 1 and the way I list my albums. I do not specifically tag my flac files with a specific indicate tag. I simply tag all my files with mp3tag before I move them to my NAS in oder make them all identical tagwise. I assumed that the indicate 'command' would help to order the resulting folders in chronological order using some kind of time stamp or else. I also use Asset and there is a New albums section which I miss on minim... RE: Show albums lastly added to the collection first - simoncn - 13-04-2020 12:44 New Albums is not yet supported by MinimServer. It will be supported in a future release of MinimServer 2. The arguments of indexTags should anyway be tags, as the name suggests. In MinimServer, indexTags is used to specify which tags the program should look for and index in a collection. It is a very flexible option that allows users to specify what they care about and, most importantly, what you they do not care about. But it doesn't make sense to put a tag that is not populated in indexTags. The syntax A:B just says that tag A shall be shown as B in the control point. For instance, I use "conductor:Dirigent" because my files contain a "conductor" tag but I prefer instead to see "Dirigent" in my control point. Similarly, I use, among others, an "incdate" (inclusion or incorporation date, not your "indicate") tag in my collection to list my albums with the most recent ones first. Each file in my collection has a well defined value for "incdate". I understand that MinimServer 2 will provide easier means of listing the most recent albums, but, as I mentioned, I do not use MinimServer 2 at the moment.(13-04-2020 11:27)nbpf Wrote:(13-04-2020 11:09)zikarus Wrote: Hello,I do not know MinimServer 2, is "indicate" a specific MinimServer 2 feature? My priority at present is making MinimServer 2 available for all platforms. RE: Show albums lastly added to the collection first - Patatorz - 18-04-2020 05:17 Expecting a lot this functionality even if the workaround is to use the Lumin app RE: Show albums lastly added to the collection first - largo - 16-05-2020 21:37 +1 on the recently added albums feature. Just bought Minimserver 2 Full and waiting anxiously for this feature. Thanks! |
