Some files do not play - mconvey - 03-04-2013 10:19

Hi,
I am running minimserver (6.5.3) on a Synology DS and playing on a Cyrus Stream XP2 and 8player on the iphone. Most files play OK, but I have recently ripped a CD using XLD which doesn't play via minimserver. XLD is set to rip to ALAC format, and the rip succeeds and I can play the files directly on a computer, but when either client plays the files, nothing happens and they immediately go on to the next track (which also doesn't play). There is nothing obvious in the minimserver log file - e.g. see below.

Thanks for reporting this problem.

The most likely cause of the problem is this response header:

Content-Range: 0-1/31643829

This should be:

Content-Range: bytes 0-1/31643829

This bug will be fixed in the next release, which should be available on Monday 8th April.

I'll also contact you by PM about providing a test build that you can try.
