Network question - Sydes - 16-04-2019 17:08 Hi, Just wondering if this is possible. I have my Nas with minimserver running on 192.168.1.1. (Qnap) My hifi hardware audio renders (denon and Marantz) are on 192.168.2.x. I would like to control and select tracks on iPad, laptop etc located on 192.168.3.x. I would also like to render audio on my phone and laptop... These are also on 192.168.3.x. So rendering on two subnets. Can this be achieved somehow? Using pfsense router with 4 port nic. Thanks. RE: Network question - simoncn - 16-04-2019 17:23 MinimServer expects the control point and renderer to be on the same subnet as the device running MinimServer. I don't know of any way to do what you want. RE: Network question - rompolompo - 16-04-2019 20:46 You can use class B sub-netting (255.255.0.0) so your network will be 192.168.x.x RE: Network question - simoncn - 16-04-2019 22:34 This would work but it seems to defeat the purpose of keeping the subnets separate (with this setup, there is a single subnet). |
