All Artists Error on QNAP 870 - sadsack5000 - 18-11-2018 07:43

Hello All,

Has anyone experienced an issue playing music from the All Artists index? I am using minim server 0.8.5.2 on a QNAP 870 pro running FW 4.3.5.0760. I am serving to Bose soundtouch products, namely the portable and lifestyle 535 using the bose soundtouch app to browse and play music. The error i receive when i try to play a song through All Artists (or even exploring subcategories of "Artist" e.g. through genre) is 1647. I can browse through all artists and songs no problem, just when i play i get the error.
This happens for ALL songs when i go through All Artists.

Strangely enough i can play the same songs through a search (not browse) no problem

Everything else works perfectly with minim server: album artist, date, genre etc.

My Mp3's are tagged to id3v2.4 using musicbrainz picard

Where am i going wrong?

Thanks

EDIT: forgot to mention a fresh install of minim server using the default config did nothing. Still get error trying to play through All Artists

Please create a trace log by doing the following:

1) From the MinimWatch minim icon, select 'Show log'
2) In the log window, change the logging level to Trace
3) Leave the log window open
4) Browse to a song using All Artists
5) Try to play the song (once only)
6) In the log window, click 'Save as' to save a log file
7) In the log window, change the logging level back to Info
8) Zip the log file and attach the zipped file to a post here (see this post for instructions). Do not paste the log text directly into a post.

I will look at the log file and let you know what I find.

Thanks for the lightning fast response. See log attached

Thanks for this. Your control point has a bug that makes it unable to handle UPnP object identifiers that contain a space character. Are you using a Bose control point? Is it possible for you to use some other UPnP control point instead, such as BubbleUPnP or mconnect?

Sorry for not replying Simon getting spare time away from my 3 year old comes only every few months! Yes noted about my Bose soundtouch controller having problems. I did try mconnect... it works but is not family friendly for use. I've been getting more and more agrevated with the bose soundtouch system so will be looking to get a new wifi speaker in the not too distant future. Any recommendations?

Hopefully this thread will help any other bose soundtouch owners

I did have another question but its off topic so will start another thread Rolleyes
