request for 'testing configurations' - aliasname - 18-11-2017 19:05 Mainly to Simon but perhaps someone else already knows about a possible workflow. Simon trapped me with a problem where he directly guessed how I was albe to archive it. I did copy contents from a MininServer's .config file on my local (Windows) machine to a besides running MinimWatch Frontend dealing with the MinimServer on my Syno. You might ask why? Because I spent too much time in trying a new config which didn't work and then had to establish the old config followed by another 3-4 hrs library scan. What I do miss is something in common called 'snapshot', which does safe all configs and allows for a rollback. Any idea if that's possible already? RE: request for 'testing configurations' - simoncn - 18-11-2017 20:48 You can make a copy of the minimserver.config file. To restore from this version of the configuration, copy back the entire .config file to its previous location, then do a Restart (not Rescan). Do not modify the contents of the .config file. |
