getting data from internet radio rather then mp3 file - progardu - 04-03-2017 22:35 Hi, I'm new to all things audio. I just started working with an arduino, I have gotten some rgb strips to react to an mp3 file being loaded into the minim object. ( ie. song = minim.loadFile("1.mp3", 2048) However I would like to load the stream into the minim library. I have been googling for a long time and no one seems to want to help. I found this page talking about on the fly decoding. My question is: 'Can I use MinimServer to capture streaming audio to be used like opening a file?' I know you read an mp3 file into a memory stream, how would that work with streaming data? I'm just having some trouble organizing my direction of action. Any thoughts would be appreciated! RE: getting data from internet radio rather then mp3 file - simoncn - 04-03-2017 23:13 There is no minim object or minim.loadFile in MinimServer. Are you perhaps thinking of some other minim? MinimServer is a UPnP server for playing audio files or HTTP network streams to UPnP renderers. Is this what you are looking for? Are you perhaps thinking of some other minim? Yes I seen to be confused the minim I used was an arduino library. But I 'assumed' these libraries were related. So, thank you for the reply. I will just have to keep asking other places. |
