DSD files with Linn streamer - erho - 11-11-2016 10:21
Hello,
what would be (sonically) the better option, convert dsd files on the fly with Minimstreamer to the Linn streamer or to convert first the dsd files to pcm and do not use dsf:wav24;176 for example?
Cheers, e

It is likely that offline conversion will produce a better result but this depends on what software you are using to do the offline conversion. You can try the comparison with one file and see what you think.

Thanks Simon, which software would you personally recommend to do the offline conversion. I am a Mac user?

I have not personally done this. I think you will find various options by searching for DSD to PCM converter.
