Beginner Transcoding Question - NaimUser - 08-10-2016 20:24 I am using Minimserver with JPLAYStreamer and Bubble DS, the latter running on a Tesco Hudl 2 Android tablet. I am currently transcoding 16/44 files to 24/88. It is producing a very nice sound! With this transcoding set, I am transcoding 16/44 to 24/88 but I am also transcoding 24/176 and 24/192 to 24/88 as well. I wonder if there is a way to upsample 16/44 files but not to transcode 24/176 and 24/192, converting them only from FLAC to wav. I found a previous post by Roland relating to this: "When transcoding my ALAC files, I would like to set different output sample rates for different input sample rates. E.g., 44.1, 48 and 88.2 files transcoded to 24/96; 96 and 176.4 files transcoded to 24/192; 192 and above files left unchanged. Is that possible with MinimStreamer?" Although Roland refers to ALAC files, this is exactly what I want to do with my FLAC files. The reply to Roland's 2015 post was that this was not possible. Is this possible now and if so, how do I achieve it? Thanks RE: Beginner Transcoding Question - simoncn - 09-10-2016 09:24 I am hoping to add this support in a future update to MinimStreamer. |
