Artist sorting and displaying - the_bat - 23-07-2015 12:40 Apologies if this has been covered many times before, but I've searched and can't find the answer. I'v got MinimServer set up to ignore "The" when sorting artist names using "Album.sortTags={Album, Artist}, Artist.ignore.*={The}, AlbumArtist.ignore.*={The}" so the Beatles are sorted under B rather than T but they are displayed as Beatles, The. I read somewhere on the forum that someone had got it to ignore "The" for sorting but display it normally - so the band would be sorted under B but displayed as The Beatles. Could someone point me to the combination of properties that achieves this? Many thanks Alan RE: Artist sorting and displaying - simoncn - 23-07-2015 19:29 (23-07-2015 12:40)the_bat Wrote: Apologies if this has been covered many times before, but I've searched and can't find the answer. You could try using: Album.sortTags={Album, Artist}, Artist.ignore.sort={The}, AlbumArtist.ignore.sort={The} RE: Artist sorting and displaying - the_bat - 23-07-2015 22:26 Unfortunately that takes us back to The Beatles, The Blue Nile and The Byrds all being filed under T. Which control point are you using? RE: Artist sorting and displaying - the_bat - 24-07-2015 11:18 Auralic's Lightning DS, although I've just tried Lumin with the same result. This is a known issue with the way Lightning DS and the LUMIN app present and navigate UPnP libraries. Have you tried using "folder view" in the LUMIN app? I think this will do what you want. |
