Issue with Reference Recording HRX wav files - Roy Boy - 30-05-2014 17:26

I am running the latest Minimserver on a Synology DS1813+ with a Lumin streamer. I have DVD media of many of the Reference Recordings HRX high resolution albums which are WAV files with 24/176 resolution. I basically copied the files directly from the media to the /Music volume on the DS1813..
However my Lumin control point app (running on IPAD) does not see any of those albums or artists. I am wondering if I need to convert those wav files to some other foirmat like AIFF or ALAC (to maintain resolution) to "play nice" with Minimserver? A second option would be to try and tag the albums/songs.

What would you recommend?

I think this is an issue with the LUMIN app rather than MinimServer. With most control points, you would be able to see these files in the [folder view] or [untagged] sections.

Converting the files to another format won't make any difference. They would need to be tagged to "play nice" with the LUMIN app. You can tag the WAV files (if you have a tagging program that can do this) or you can convert them to another format and tag the converted files.

There is the option to browse by folder in LUMIN App. I would give that a try and see whether you find the files there if you cant see it under "Albums" or "Artists".
