The reason I say "soon" rather than giving no time indication at all is to avoid the situation where the user who has the problem does extra work to work around the issue and this work is then wasted when a fix appears a few days later.

I will think about your comment about Latest News. I am aware that this can remain unchanged for quite a long time if the only changes are bug fixes, as these don't seem appropriate for posting in this section.
I assume that each platform release will be announced in a new post, rather than being embedded in this thread?

Yes, I think that would be a good idea so that early experiences or problems with installation can be discussed on a platform-specific thread.

Hi. Trying to get MinimStreamer installed on my NAS so I can listen to BBC radio again. Having worked out I needed MinimServer 2, and failed to find the Free Trial page (!), I ended up buying a license. Only then did I realise that version 2 doesn't yet run on my Synology. Hoping I haven't just paid £28 for nothing! Blush

Any update on when MinimServer 2 will be available for Synology?

Thx

You can install MinimServer 0.8 with MinimStreamer 0.7 on your Synology for now and start playing BBC radio with that. When MinimServer 2 becomes available for Synology, it will be very simple to update to it and activate your license.

Synology is the next platform for MinimServer 2. I am working on it now.

Speaking purely as a QNAP user ... rats! Sad

I knew someone would say that. Smile QNAP should be next after Synology.

Well, I suppose that adds up to half a Smile

Nice. Can‘t wait. Good times to tinker with systems and setups I guess Tongue

Hi Simon. Thanks for this. Surprised myself (as a non-techy) by actually getting it to work; sort of.

I now have all the BBC stations in the Playlist and can select them. However, they take about half a minute to start up (which I could live with) and then only play for about 2 seconds (which is a bit more problematic!) When I press 'play' they start again and do the same thing.

Tried Dash and HLS options with same result. The File Format when the station starts up says "AAC 48kHz 16 bit"

MinimServer is v8.5.3 and MinimStreamer is v7.15. All of this is on a Synology DS210j and my streamer is a TEAC NT-505. All my FLAC files play perfectly from the NAS, as does TIDAL. Can you help me please?

Thank you.

I have an idea about what might be causing this. To confirm, I would need to see a debug log. Please do the following:

1) Browse to the playlist containing the BBC stations
2) From the MinimWatch minim icon, select 'Show log'
3) In the log window, change the logging level to Debug
4) Leave the log window open
5) Play one of the BBC stations until it stops. Do not restart it.
6) In the log window, click 'Save as' and save the log to a file
7) Zip the log file and attach the zipped file to a post here as a file attachment
8) Set the logging level back its default setting of Info
