I am ready to update my Melco N1ZH t0 3.92b and install MinimServer 2 full version.

I purchased a licence at 17:45 today, I wanted to do this early so I could "enter your email address and the license code from the email you have received" However as of now, 19:23, I have received a receipt from PayPal but no email from MinimWorld with a license code.

How long should it take to receive the email, I don't want to install 3.92b and MinimServer 2 and not be able to tailor the install.

The text under the Buy Now button explains that it can take up to 24 hours before you receive the second email with the license code. You should have received this email in the last few minutes.

Also, you (or any MinimServer user) can activate a free trial for 30 days. The free trial provides all the functionality you would get with a full license, so even if the license code were delayed for some reason, the user would still be able to tailor the install.

Apologies didn’t notice that text. License details now received.

Thank you Simon

Thank you Simon

You are not the only person to have missed this. Smile

I will think about how to redesign the page to make this clearer. Also, I am working on some changes that will reduce the delay before the license email is sent.

My Melco N1ZH is now running 3.92B and MinimServer 2.05

It was a very easy and straightforward task - well done Simon for making this so simple!!

Thank you

Hi,

Does Minimserver2 does also becomes available for Asustor?
Despite the Asustor is very nice nas, the choice for a decent music server with transcoding capabilities is very limited, let's say none existing except Minimserver and minimstreamer for Asustors nas.

Netherless to say..sure willing to pay the fee for this expectional software, if you consider
most competitors doing this for some time now..

MinimServer 2 will be released for all platforms that currently run MinimServer, including ASUSTOR.

Hi,
I'm eagerly anticipating the release of MinimServer 2 for Synology and will be happy to remunerate you for all your hard work.

I do have one request however, and that is when you do make an update or change on the website and you say "coming soon" that you put a date on your web post so that we have an idea when "soon" is. Especially in the "Latest News" category, a post date is very important.

Thanks

RE: Announcing MinimServer 2 - simoncn - 01-03-2020 18:33

I don't put a date on "soon" because experience has taught me there is a good chance that any predicted date could be missed because of unexpected circumstances. The reason I say "soon" rather than giving no time indication at all is to avoid the situation where the user who has the problem does extra work to work around the issue and this work is then wasted when a fix appears a few days later.

I will think about your comment about Latest News. I am aware that this can remain unchanged for quite a long time if the only changes are bug fixes, as these don't seem appropriate for posting in this section.
