RE: Gap between tracks - Leixuros - 26-11-2014 13:28 Yes. I found out that Helium puts the Grouping to CONTENTGROUPDESCRIPTION. I can now use this tag for grouping, but it’s not a good idea because I can’t change it easily with Audirvana. So I’s like to have a program which can take the tage CONTENTGROUPDESCRIPTION and put it to Grouping. Does something like this exist? May be a tool for the command line, so that I can change all the files in a directory? I can’t find any program which can do this. RE: Gap between tracks - Leixuros - 26-11-2014 16:51 Thank you very, very, very much! It works perfectly. Only one small issue: it is for Windows. But it works in a virtual machine together with Helium, no problem. Once more: Thank you for all your help. RE: Gap between tracks - Imjinman - 02-12-2014 11:15 I am unclear on "gapless". I have just downloaded Endless river from HDtracks and near the end of a track it will cut a note short, insert a gap, and then continue the note as it transitions into the next track. Is this what you mean by Gapless-- ie the need to remove this Gaps? If so how does one do it? I am using Minimserver, BubbleUPnP and I have a Simaudio Moon 180 (from an earlier post this is gapless). How does 'it' know when to insert a genuine gap between separate rather than continuous tracks? Many thanks- this is pretty irritating and occurs on a few downloaded albums. Is this what you mean by Gapless-- ie the need to remove this Gaps?"Gapless" means that no artificial breaks will be introduced when going from the end of a track to the start of the next one, due to extra time imposed by software and network components to prepare for this new track. Gapless playback is achieved by preparing ahead of time for playing the new track, before the current one is over. This functionality requires cooperation between both the renderer and the control point used, as some messages need to be exchanged between them in due time. Not all renderers and not all control point support this, but fortunately those you are using (Moon Mind & BubbleUPnP) do very well. For gapless playback to work with BubbleUPnP, you need to enable a specific setting : Open the app menu and do "Settings > UPnP Tweaks > Enable gapless control". Regards RE: Gap between tracks - Imjinman - 07-12-2014 10:19 Hi Thank you for the advice- I have done that to no avail. So a bit bizarre. Are you able to please give me a quick run down of the other "Upnp Tweaks" settings? Something si not quite right- not sure what it is. I have teh same issue with a HD tracks Marvin Gaye album RE: Gap between tracks - Peter StreamMagic - 07-12-2014 12:21 (07-12-2014 10:19)Imjinman Wrote: HiI also had some issues with gapless playback (and some other problems) using BubbleUPnP. On advice from Bubble's developer I reinstalled the app. Perfect gapless now. Peter. RE: Gap between tracks - Imjinman - 08-12-2014 11:38 OK...I'll try that RE: Gap between tracks - Imjinman - 09-12-2014 10:16 By the way, you obviously have the Android BubbleUPnP, Minimserevr and the Moon. Did you ever find problems with the BubbleUpnP finding teh Moon Renderer and the Minimserver library. I have 4 Android deivces, some find both straight away, some may wait 20 mins, some find library straightaway but not renderer and vice-versa. Driving me, and more so my other half, crazy at times. I then have to reboot the Mdoem/router or just wait. All connected via Ethernet (bar the Androids- via wifi). I have also set up static IPs to no avail. It is Andre Gosselin who owns(owned) a Moon renderer. I possess a Cambridge Audio Streammagic 6. The advantage to my experiance, using BubbleUPnP is that it finds my NAS and renderer immediately and even after closing the app it does not reload like the CA app and shows all information concerning the music playing at the time right away. Gapless playback OK now? Peter |
