No, I did not hear Twonky.

Something happens with the reactivation, it occurs to me that something similar to when we restart a computer. Perhaps the software engineers of Melco can say.

OK, then my post was not applicable to your situation. I suppose it is possible that something could happen (memory fragmentation? some kind of resource issue?) after MinimServer has been running a long time. I switch my Melco off overnight so this is not something I would experience in normal use. What is your complete setup (renderer, DAC, etc.)?

I forgot to comment that before activating Twonky and later activating Minimserver, I had already tried turning the Melco off and then on and that did not solve the problem.

Thanks for this. Unfortunately, this makes it much harder to come up with a plausible theory that could explain what you have observed. Sad

I will try it myself to see what happens.

I have tried this on a setup similar to yours and I didn't hear any difference.

When the next Minimserver update occurs, I'll see if the same thing happens.
Anyway, right now once I reactivated Minimserver, it sounds great

If it happens again, please changing MinimServer to Off and then back to MinimServer, listen to the sound, and then do what you did with Twonky. I would like to know whether the "Off" change has the same effect as the "Twonky" change.

Ok, I will do so
